Still, I find myself gravitating towards the arts.

Growing up, one of my biggest dreams was to be an artist. I love to create and be creative, and my dedication for that definitely showed when I'd spend my days making piece after piece.
Though not an artist professionally today, I'd say I'm living that dream after work or on the weekends. During those times, you can find me either covered in paint, laying out my canvas brainstorming for my next project, or gliding my pen along my Wacom tablet.

Currently, some of my skills and tools are:

Drawing
Inking
Sculpting
Embroidery
Figma
Photoshop
Digital art and design
Painting

In navigating my passion for technology and art, I found a happy medium: UX. I discovered the field of UX going into my last year of college, when a digital design club I was part had a speaker series on UX/UI. I realized then that I didn't have to decide between focusing on STEM or art ... I could be involved in both. Thus, I've decided to start my journey towards learning more about UX in 2022.

Some learning I've done:

Thinkful
UX/UI Design Certificate
Mar 2022 — Oct 2022

Of course, I have other hobbies too.

Collecting and caring for houseplants
Taking in the sights of nearby towns and cities
Finding mindfulness through yoga and meditation
Curating playlists catered for every mood
Stuffing my fridge with ingredients for my next recipe
Blazing through my 'to-be-read' pile of books
Perfecting the art of making macarons
Typing out short stories that fill my head
